Clifford D. Sweet III (President)
Cliff is a firm shareholder and chief executive officer of the law firm Heggeness & Sweet. Recipient of the 2nd Annual Warren L. Hanna Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002, he has been a Certified Workers' Compensation Law Specialist since 1981. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1971 where he studied Swedish Political Science as a foreign exchange student at the University of Lund. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School at Los Angeles in 1974. Cliff is a past and now future President of the California Workers' Compensation Defense Attorneys' Association. Cliff helped write important workers' compensation legislation and regulations, including the Workers' Compensation Fraud Act. His practice includes defending complex-high value workers' compensation cases as well as prosecuting civil actions against health care providers for fraud, racketeering and unfair business practices. Married to Kay since 1972, Cliff's hobbies include computer applications.
Jacob Freifeld (Treasurer)
Jacob is from Brookline, Massachusetts and joins Mo`olelo with 6 years of finance experience. Before moving to San Diego, he traded mortgage bonds at Lehman Brothers and worked in portfolio management at The Bank of New York. His favorite plays include "Proof" by David Auburn, "Art" by Yasmina Reza, and "When We Dead Awaken" by Henrik Ibsen. Jacob has a bachelor's degree in information systems from Carnegie Mellon, and has just launched Southbrook Capital Management, a company that brings institutional-quality investment strategies to the individual investor.
